Vel Lewis “In the Press” Everywhere!

Vel Lewis has been busy promoting the Instrument Fund Program he established recently and the Summer Jazz Concert & Dinner to kickoff the program with partners Fort Bend Education Foundation and the Edison Arts Foundation.

Vel appeared once again on KHOU-TV’s Great Day Houston show with Deborah Duncan on Aug 3, 2018, with his band performing throughout the hour-long show. During his interview, he talked about his plans to give students who receive instruments through his Instrument Fund Program the opportunity to perform on an annual Fort Bend Jazz Festival. Vel and his band then performed his new release of a #HoustonStrong theme song entitled “Can You Help” for the first time live before a live audience.

On August 4, 2018, Vel interviewed live on KTSU 90.9 FM “The Choice” Community Affairs program “Impact Houston Live” with show host Wanda Adams. The interview was very informative and timely, to speak about music and its positive effects on youth with Dr. Valerie D. Jackson, Chief Strategist Officer of Monarch Family Services.

Hammond Organ USA highlighted Vel’s activities with a “Hammond News” article: Vel Lewis making good things happen in Houston.The article is also posted on Hammond USA’s Facebook page, and Instagram page.
