Helping disadvantaged students pursue music careers

F2F Music Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit charitable performing arts music organization, was founded in 2018 by Vel Lewis. “Faith 2 Form”, abbreviated as “F2F”, is designed to help middle school and high school students pursue a career in music who could not ordinarily do so because of the inability of their family to invest in the purchase of an instrument. The first program Vel developed was the “Instrument Fund Program”, designed to raise funds through charitable donations from corporations, business organizations, benefactors and/or donors in order to purchase brand new instruments for disadvantaged students. Vel has been working with high schools in the Fort Bend Independent School District since 2017, producing fundraising concerts in school auditoriums to provide the opportunity for music students to perform on stage with his band and other nationally-known recording artists.

Vel’s work with F2F Music Foundation and local music students was highlighted during TV appearances on CBS-affiliate KHOU 11’s “Great Day Houston” daytime show, and most recently on ABC13 Houston – KTRK by reporter Pooja Lodhia at Willowridge High School.
